Today McKenzie Eddy hits us with her second free album in two months. With an intro from Wiz Khalifa, records produced by Ski Beatz, songs she self produced alongside Nicole Wray, Kat CHR, The London Souls, DJ Wordy, and Brooklyn Dawn, the album is a natural follow up to the diverse sounds of "A Prelude to My Next Excursion," yet comes with a more cohesive feel. "All of these records were made in about a 3 week period of time. So I was in the same mental space throughout the creation of them," says Eddy. "Sean O'Connell added his touch to the recording of the vocals, so everyone that I really love working with that I respect musically got to touch this project in some way." Eddy also hits us with a remix to the Marc Brownstein produced "Retrograde," a song off of her upcoming debut album

What we know:: Curren$y's work ethic can be matched by few of his peers. Last year, Spitta built on the buzz he had garnered from working with Wiz Khalifa, Damon Dash, and his DD172 family by dropping Pilot Talk in July, taking a few months to reload, and then dropping the excellent Pilot Talk II in November. Having already released yet another mixtape to start the year with Return To The Winner's Circle, Curren$y has got three projects lined up that are definitely worth checking out. Ski Beatz already let us know that Pilot Talk III and Muscle Car Chronicle are on the way. We expect PTIII to pick up where the last one left off with smooth, laid-back rhymes and beats from Ski. Meanwhile, Muscle Car Chronicle has Spitta rocking with folk artist Sean O’Connell and Covert Coupe has him teaming up with The Alchemist, giving a fresh take on Curren$y's carefully crafted style.

Once Pilot Talk 2 comes out, then he’s got Muscle Car Chronicle that’s coming out, and then Pilot Talk 3 comes. “[In the studio] it’s definitely laid back. Nobody is in a big rush to do anything. A couple times it was a little smoked out. [Laughs.] You know what I’m saying? A good little zone. Especially with Curren$y—when we record his stuff, he keeps you high. But it’s a good vibe. It’s a positive energy. There’s no negativity floating around. There’s nobody pushing us to do this or do that. There are really no deadlines. That’s why everything gets done on time. We’re not rushing like, ‘By Tuesday we need this!’ or ‘By March 18th if it’s not done, then…” There’s none of that.”
